Over the years I have known Marcia as a performer with ACE dance and music, then as a teacher and choreographer and I am always in awe of her energy, drive and creativity. She has worked with Dancefest many times leading advanced contemporary classes, schools projects and choreographing for W’ire Youth Dance Company and DFY (Dancefest Youth). Her passion for dance is clearly communicated to those she teaches, she strives to enable participants to achieve their best in a way that is dynamic, friendly and fun.

Rose Beeston (Dancefest Director)

I have been very fortunate to have had Marcia Edwards take classes for both my College and Youth Dance Company. Her energy and verve for dance is the first thing that strikes you and then the wealth of knowledge and experience of technique and performance seeps through the entirety of her work. Her technique classes build strength and stamina with Graham, African and Cunningham influences seamlessly fusing to create Marcia’s unique style. The performance work which is produced with such ease, is fierce, bold and intelligent. The students always come away inspired, challenged and in a flurry of excitement.

Marcia is highly professional, seriously trained and a force to be reckoned with. I will continue to invite her back time and time again.
